Hot Shocking Update!! Savannah Chrisley Claims Dad Todd Chrisley Has Faced ‘Retaliation’ in Prison for Her Public Advocacy

Savannah Chrisley, the 26-year-old star of Chrisley Knows Best, has never been one to shy away from standing up for her family, even when the stakes are incredibly high.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Savannah revealed that her attempts to raise awareness about the inhumane conditions her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley,

are enduring in prison have come at a cost—not just emotionally, but in tangible ways that threaten her father’s safety behind bars.

“It’s been really tough on my parents since I started speaking out about everything,” Savannah shared candidly. “That’s been the toughest part, especially for Dad. There’s been a lot of retaliation, and so now, we have to worry about him.”

Savannah’s comments highlight the ongoing struggle she faces as she pushes back against the justice system that she believes has wronged her family. Since Todd and Julie’s convictions in 2022 on charges of tax evasion, bank fraud, and conspiracy, Savannah has been vocal in her belief that her parents were treated unfairly, with their sentences unjustly harsh compared to those of other criminals. The Chrisley family’s high-profile legal battle has been a source of constant media attention, and Savannah has made it clear that she won’t stop advocating until justice is served.

However, her public outcry against the system has led to repercussions that have directly impacted her father, Todd. Savannah explained that the retaliation her father is facing has escalated since she began sharing her perspective online, particularly with her controversial statements about the harsh prison conditions. “They’re trying to move him from the facility he’s at right now,” Savannah revealed, referring to the FPC Pensacola minimum-security prison where Todd has been serving his sentence. “This is happening because of the latest things that I’ve posted, including when I called the prison a ‘death trap.’”

Her decision to speak out publicly about the dangerous and uncomfortable living conditions in which her father is held has resulted in harsh consequences for Todd. The facility’s response has reportedly been to make his already difficult situation even worse by attempting to transfer him to a different facility, which could mean a further degradation of his already strained environment.

“It’s really the moment you start speaking out that you have to pay for it,” Savannah continued, revealing how the system punishes those who stand up for their loved ones, particularly those in high-profile cases. She also claimed that Todd’s efforts to advocate for himself have been thwarted by prison guards. “Right now, they’re not even letting him make a non-recorded phone call to discuss the situation with his lawyer,” she said. “A non-recorded call is crucial because it’s one of the few times you can speak freely about what’s happening to you without the threat of retaliation. But they’re denying him that.”

Despite the grim situation, Todd has not backed down. According to Savannah, her father remains resolute in his determination to push for change, even if it means enduring further hardship. “His exact words were, ‘If I have to be uncomfortable in order to hopefully implement and force change, then I’m willing to do it.’” This comment underscores Todd’s unwavering commitment to standing up for what he believes is right, even if the cost is his personal comfort and security.

The situation is just as dire for Julie, Savannah’s mother, who is currently serving her sentence at the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. Savannah explained that while her father is facing retaliation due to his outspoken nature, her mother’s struggle is different—but no less severe. Julie’s physical and emotional well-being have been significantly impacted by her time in prison, and Savannah was vocal about the mistreatment she has observed. “The living conditions are terrible for Mom,” Savannah lamented. “Some of the male guards definitely speak down on the women. They make them feel like garbage.”

Julie’s plight, coupled with Todd’s, has taken a severe toll on the Chrisley family. While Savannah continues her advocacy and speaks out about what she sees as a broken justice system, she is also dealing with the harsh realities of what her parents are enduring behind bars. “It’s just so heartbreaking to watch,” she confessed, admitting that no matter how strong she tries to remain, the emotional weight of her family’s situation is overwhelming.

The Chrisleys’ legal troubles began in 2019, when Todd and Julie were indicted on charges of tax evasion, bank fraud, and conspiracy. After a drawn-out legal battle, they were convicted in June 2022, with Todd receiving a 12-year prison sentence and Julie sentenced to seven years. Despite their conviction, the Chrisleys have maintained their innocence, continuing to insist that they were wrongfully targeted by the justice system.

“We’ve always been very vocal about how we feel, and that hasn’t changed,” Todd said during a prerecorded January episode of his podcast Chrisley Confessions. “This may be my future for now, but I have faith that the judicial system will eventually see the truth, and the appellate court will overturn this injustice.”

As part of her advocacy, Savannah has been outspoken about the disparity between her parents’ sentences and those of other criminals. “Why do we continue to fail people? It tears families apart,” she said on her Unlocked podcast in November 2022. “Look at what we’re going through. How is that justice? It’s not.” She also expressed frustration with the unequal treatment that her family has faced, especially in light of the fact that other criminals—who have committed far more heinous crimes—receive much lighter sentences.

Savannah’s public outcry has sparked a broader conversation about criminal justice reform, with the reality star pushing for a reevaluation of how the system treats high-profile families like hers. “It all goes back to us being in the public eye,” Savannah explained. “Someone has to prove a point, and it’s honestly sad.”

Despite the pressure and the backlash, Savannah and her family are determined to continue fighting for justice. As she explained, “I’ve become numb to it, but that numbness has turned to anger. Now, I’m not giving up. There’s no other option.”

Her brother Chase Chrisley, who has also been vocal about the prison conditions, added his support in a May 2023 podcast appearance. “Savannah will go see my dad, I’ll go see my mom,” he said, describing the emotional toll their parents’ imprisonment has taken on the family. “We rotate visits, and we never miss a weekend. But it’s tough, man. We love each other so much, and to see our parents in these conditions is heartbreaking.”

Chase further emphasized the dire conditions at the prisons where his parents are being held. “My dad is not in some country club,” he said. “He’s in a place with black mold and other awful conditions. Mom’s place is even worse.” These conditions, coupled with the constant emotional strain, have made the Chrisleys’ situation even more difficult to endure.

As Savannah continues to fight for her family’s freedom, it’s clear that her advocacy is not just about her parents’ immediate release—it’s about bringing attention to the systemic flaws within the justice system and demanding change for all those who have been unjustly treated. For the Chrisley family, the battle is far from over, but their unwavering determination to seek justice will continue to be a driving force in their fight for what they believe is right.
