This week on Home and Away, heartbreak and emotional turmoil reach a boiling point as Harper and Tane deal with the aftermath of their cancelled wedding—sparking a major rift
that could change everything for their unborn child. After calling off their big day, Harper is left reeling. While deep down she sensed something was off leading up to the ceremony,
she had hoped it was nothing more than pre-wedding jitters. Unfortunately, her worst fears were confirmed when Tane confessed he wasn’t truly in love with her. His brutal honesty shattered
any lingering hope Harper had of salvaging their relationship. The realization that they were about to enter a marriage without love was too much to bear—and now, Harper is left wondering what her future holds, especially with a baby on the way.
Despite their split, Harper still sees Tane as the father of her child and initially considers how they might move forward as co-parents. Conflicted and emotional, she opens up to her sister Dana before sending Tane a message, asking to meet up. Their catch-up begins cautiously, with both avoiding the elephant in the room, but things quickly spiral when Tane tries to gloss over their past by suggesting they move on like the wedding never happened.
His casual dismissal of their relationship hits Harper hard. Still very much in love with Tane, Harper is gutted by his insensitivity. In a moment of anger and pain, she makes a shocking decision—Tane won’t be part of the baby’s life at all. The announcement blindsides Tane, leaving him devastated.
The tension between them escalates rapidly. Harper is overwhelmed by the thought of having to co-parent with someone who so easily disregarded their love and the future they once envisioned. Jessica, who portrays Harper, explains that the emotional weight of the breakup is too much for her character to handle. “Harper finds the idea of being around Tane to co-parent Archie extremely difficult,” she says.
Tane, however, refuses to accept Harper’s decision without a fight. He begs her to reconsider, but every attempt only adds fuel to the fire. Harper’s frustration grows, and just as their argument hits fever pitch on the beach, Cash steps in, witnessing the explosive confrontation and rushing to break it up before things get even worse.
With their relationship in ruins and co-parenting plans now uncertain, the big question remains: Will Tane be forced to give up his dream of fatherhood? Or can Harper find it in her heart to let him be part of their child’s life?
